Not only Savings and Loan, but Grants and Support.

The Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan Foundation was created in 2004, funded with a gift of stock from Naugatuck Valley Financial Corporation and organized exclusively for charitable purposes.

In the comparatively short time since its establishment, The Foundation has given grants totaling more than $350,000 to support a variety of community organizations that enhance the quality of life in the Naugatuck River Valley.

In 2007, we received the Traurig Family Award for Philanthropy from the Connecticut Community Foundation in recognition of our volunteerism and financial support of more than 75 area community groups and non-profit organizations.

The Foundation Board of Directors meets on a quarterly basis. The 2010 meetings are scheduled for February 24, May 19, August 18 and November 17, 2010. All applications to be considered must be submitted one week prior to the meeting.
